Hello, Anchorage and vicinity. We have been asked to take part in the annual World Music Festival at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, October the 17th at 11am, and are happy to try our part in Tribal Funk. The event is free to the public and will kick off ANHC’s Winter programing. Although it in no way feels like winter yet. Hope to see you there.

Smithsonian releases album featuring Pamyua.
The National Museum of the American Indian (Smithsonian Institute) have just released a compilation cd “Sounds of Indian Summer” featuring bands performing in Washington D.C. when the museum first opened in 2007.
Introduction to Album
“We’re mostly influenced by our culture, the Inuit life. We mix our music with styles from all over the world”. – Pamyua, 2007.
Native American art today is a reflection of contemporary Native life, and the artists use all of the old and the new tools, materials, and influences available to them to create their works. In this appetite for everything on the aesthetic menu, Native musicians are like artists everywhere. Art, as an expression and reflection of humanity, is never static.
